Kannur District Conference has been held most successfully at Payyannur on 28-05-2016. The conference started with flag hoisting and floral tribute to the martyrs. Com. V. A. N. Namboodiri , Advisor inaugurated the conference giving a detailed account of the recent developments in the international-national spheres, 7th Pay Commission recommendations, revival of BSNL, pensioners issues including latest position of 78.2% etc Coms. N. Guruprasad, Circle Secretary, K. Mohan, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, K.P.Jithesh (SNEA), S.V. Padmanabhan (AIBSNLEA), V.P.Somasekharan (CGPA), Puthiyadavan Narayanan (AIPRPA) and V.V.Krishnan (BSNLCCLU) addressed. Com. P.V.Unnikrishnan, District President was in the chair. Com.K.Kunhiraman, District Secretary presented the report and Com. K.Ramachandran, Treasurer the audited accounts. 20 comrades including the 10 Area Secretaries participated in the discussion after which the report and accounts were adopted. Com.Kunhappan, Chairman, Reception Committee welcomed and Com. K.Rajan proposed vote of thanks.
