Union Cabinet on Friday has fixed minimum price of Rs.14000 Cr for 5MHz 2G spectrum. This is Rs.4100 Cr lower than the price recommended by TRAI, presumably to appease the big telecom companies. CDMA spectrum price is fixed at Rs.18200 Cr.
